Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Poor excuse for pizza in a bland atmosphere. Only the friendly service garnered Sam's a second star. Pizza was made as if cook had only had pizza from the grown food aisle. Thick and greasy... thousands of tasteless calories. At least the prices were reasonable. Skip Sam's unless you have no other option.

I asked hotel staff for a recommended pizzeria that delivered. Was told Sam's is where the locals go. The pizza arrived hot and had me at hello -- delicious with generous toppings. The crust was reminiscent of a Greek pizzeria I frequented in the Philadelphia area. Only nit is that I wish paper plates and napkins had been sent along with the pie.

This is not good pizza. It will fill you up but that's about it. Tasteless, non existent sauce with an equally unimpressive (thick) crust. Even the cheese didn't taste good. I did have a chicken parm sub which was mediocre...the only thing that saved this review from a 1 star rating. Sorry, Sam's.

My family and I go to Sam's on occasion. The food is always adequate. The service on the other hand is not. On our most recent visit our waitress had very little personally, she was slow, and quite frankly rude to the point that she practically threw the check at my hands. I always say that the food can be fair but the service must be good. Don't go here if you want good service. We won't be returning.

I had had their pizza before and it's really good pizza. We decided to go & eat in. Prices were reasonable. We ordered club sandwiches and it came with fries & a little bit of slaw. Service was VERY POOR! We waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged and ordered our drinks. When the waitress returned we placed our order. 45minutes passed before our server came back to tell us they were backed up in the kitchen due to carry out orders. I said if we would leave if it would be much longer. Lo & behold, she came back with our order. The fries were lukewarm. The place is not very big but is nice enough. If the kitchen cannot keep up with eat in/carry out service then something is wrong. Either short staffed or poor management- maybe both. I can honestly say I cannot remember a time when I had such bad service. Have always tipped 20% + wherever I go, but not this time...in the future I wil stick with a carry out order- they need some serious fine-tuning on service inside.

As new residents of St. Michaels my family and I were eager to find a local "go-to" spot for pizza. We ordered delivery from Sam's and could not have been happier with the results! Veggie pizza was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be ordering again!

My husband and I visit St. Michael's regularly on our way to Tilghman Island and we've had lunch at Sam's pizza in the past and the food was ok. This particular visit we stopped in to place a to go order and the service was just down right rude. The cashier didn't acknowledge us and the older man shoved menu's towards us and smugly asked us if we knew what we wanted. My husband was about half way through placing the order when the cashier just picked up the telephone and started taking another order. Ultimately was decided we didn't want to spend anymore time or money at Sam's pizza. We've also sent a quick memo to our friends and family to NOT frequent this establishment during their visits to St. Michael's.

Probably the best pizza I've ever had! Perfect ratio of crust, sauce, and cheese with an amazingly satisfying crunch.

Went here for lunch with my in-laws. Service was a little slow, but we were in no rush. I got the BLT sub, which was heavy on the B and light on the L. The lettuce was kind of old, with some not very nice spots that I picked out. The husband and father-in-law each got a type of sausage and peppers sub and shared, seeming to enjoy both. Mother-in-law got the lamb gyro, which seemed to be the best out of the bunch. The pizzas looked awesome, as did the desserts, so next time I will try to talk someone into splitting both with me.

I have been here many times and the food is usually pretty good.I spent over $30 for lunch. The food was terrible told the waitress and she do not really care to help us.I will not go back any time soon.

Went here for lunch. It was pretty good. Nothing to write home about. But pretty good. I actually had two different sandwiches. My father and I each ordered a large hot sub and gave half to the other. The two subs were the sausage, peppers, and onions sub and the peppers and sausage parmigiana sub. The former was only a two star worthy sandwich. The later was 4 star worthy. That's the primary reason for giving this place 3 stars. Our server was friendly, but it was like pulling teeth to get her attention for a soda refill.

Nice simple restaurant. Portions are very generous, prices reasonable. The menu has quite a variety which usually means bad things for taste but everyone liked what they had from the Greek sampler to eggplant lasagna to Imperial salmon. Salads & bread were pretty plain and what you'd expect but if you want decent food, this is a great choice. Had the pizza too a couple nights ago - pan style with good toppings.

If you are in St. Michaels for the day, or the weekend, and are tired of the overpriced places in town, this is where the locals eat. It is not a fancy restaurant, but has good home cooking at extremely reasonable prices. As others have comented, the service is sometimes slow (no-one is ever in a hurry in the Eastern Shore of Maryland), but curteous. It is neat and spacious, and there is no loud music, so you can actually enjoy your meal, and talk with your friends. Most people come for the subs and pizza, but you should not pass up on the specials of the day, and some of the greek specialties. The crabmeat pizza is excellent. Our favorite greek dish is the Pastitsio (the greek version of lasagna). Portions are huge, and can be shared. Try a bottle of greek wine. The white Moschofilero and the red Naoussa are winners, and are sold for a song! We have enjoyed his Roast Pork, and his Chicken Pot-Pie casserole. The baklava is homemade, but if you don't mind the extra calories, ask for a slice of "Junior's" cheesecake, which Sam's family brings down from New York City weekly.

Had lunch with family. Since my son and daughter-in-law already wrote reviews on their meals , I will just comment on my lamb gyro. It was very good. My only complaint is that there was way too much onion on it. I like onion but in moderation. This was allot and cut thick. I will agree with my daughter-in-law and would like to try the pizza some time.
